I love the smell of the “Calm” Scent Boosters by Downy. The scent boosters have a vanilla mixed with lavender fragrance. Does anyone have perfume recommendations that smell similar to this product?

2021.11.29 00:13 _avocadorable How can Keltie O'Connor do so many 30-day/1 week etc challenges??
Apologies if this doesn't fit here, I only recently found the sub!
My question in the title is something I've been really curious about for a while. I used to watch Keltie for a few months when her channel got picked up by the algorithm gods last year, but stopped when I realised how repetitive her content actually is (and triggering, but that's my issue). It seemed like she came out with a different "Trying [X]'s Fitness routine for a week" or "Trying [insert trendy exercise] for 30 days" kinda content in crazy quick time. Like, HOW?
Was she doing challenges simultaneously? Was she working out multiple times a day?
Idk her channel and content has always given me weird vibes. I normally don't mind "Trying..." challenge content, but Keltie's approach to it seemed OTT. Apologies if this is something she's covered in more recent videos.

2021.11.29 00:13 Mega_Nibba TIFU by accidentally destroying my sisters car door
So at the bright and early time of 2:30 in the morning i got a call from my sister telling me to come pull her out because they were drifting in the snow and lost it. So i drove out there in the dark with pretty thick snow on the ground. When i got there we realised the rope i had on me wasn't gonna cut it. We went back to our neighbors to get better rope and then we went back to the car. Were in pulling the car backwards i forgot to pull the door shut wich led to it getting bent real bad and my sister is now mad at me. We are still currently trying to pull the car out wich is painful to say the least and my sister is plotting how she is gonna destroy my first car because of what i did to hers
Tl;dr went to rescue my sister accidentally destroyed her car door

2021.11.29 00:13 chilidoggo The different types of advantages to design when building an army in WH2
In order to defeat your enemies in this game, you need to have a better army. But what does that even mean? Each unit you include in your 20 units contributes to your power in different ways. Your goal when designing an army is to establish a plan for victory that will rest on what I'm describing as the three tactical pillars of Total War. I'll describe what having an advantage in these areas looks like, what benefits it provides, and give some examples of how to counter an army that is superior to you in this aspect. If you understand these categories, you can do a better job designing your own armies to play to your strengths and cover your weaknesses. I'd intend this as a guide for newer players, but I'm happy to hear thoughts from other veterans of the game.
TL;DR - Total War is rock-paper-scissors, where ranged beats melee, speeds beats ranged, and melee beats speed. Build a plan to win around one of them, and add in the others to help you not lose.
Ranged Superiority If you have a unit with the longest range, your opponent must approach you. This is incredibly powerful because you can bombard them freely while they're on the approach. A defensive army can leverage this further into a cohesive strategy by sacrificing speed and melee capabilities for raw damage output. Dwarves, High Elves, and Skaven (Weapon Teams) are champions of this, with extremely powerful long ranged options, supplemented by solid defensive capabilities. I would include magic in this section as well.
Counters - Speed is the primary counter. Ranged armies need time to dump their ammunition into you, so close the gap faster and minimize your losses. The terrain is also a factor in the performance of ranged units, and a heavily forested map means extremely ineffectual fire, but this is often out of your control (unless you force a fight in the trees). The game designers also intended shields as a counter to light arms fire, but in practice, shielded infantry still take significant damage on the approach, and only reduce frontal damage. Missile resistance can be considered a counter, but it is typically given to units to compensate for not having shields (Swordmasters of Hoeth) or for their extra size presenting a larger target (dinosaurs/dragons).
Speed Superiority Having speed allows you to dictate which battles are fought, which is incredibly powerful. Killing a unit quickly by putting a tremendous amount of force on it prevents the enemy from getting any value out of it. If you have the fastest unit, that unit can do what it likes with little repercussion from the opponent (which is obviously a bit of a simplification). It doesn't just apply to cavalry, even having faster infantry or monsters can allow you to reposition quickly, or do a skirmish play where you fall back, take a shot, and continue to retreat. Brettonia with their cavalry focus is an obvious example of this, but Skaven have notably quick infantry, and (while unreleased) both Slaanesh and the Ogre Kingdoms are both looking very speedy.
Flying/Stalking Units Just as a side note, you could broaden the umbrella to "positional" superiority, since most of the above also applies to flying and stalking units to a degree, in that they have advantages that allow them to pick their battles. However, I'd still say that speed is the most important factor. A flying or stalking unit on its own doesn't add as much since they need an alternative plan for them to get out of combat once they start it (Cathay's war balloon or Bugman's Rangers), but it is certainly better than not having anything.
Counters - Usually, a fast unit is a fair bit weaker than a similarly costed slow version of it, and a big blob of melee completely neutralizes the tactical advantage of speed. When there's only one battle to fight, the ability to pick your own battles doesn't count for anything. It is tempting to send a unit to go scare of some gutter-runners, but it's 100% a trap and you're falling right into their plan by doing so. If you must separate your army, you'll need to babysit vulnerable units. A stalking unit can just appear out of nowhere, destroy your artillery, and fade back into shadows before you can react. You also don't need to be all or nothing - even a few ambushing units can allow you to counteract some of your opponent's speed.
Melee Superiority When you have more and better melee units than your opponent, you've got melee superiority. At the end of the day, each battle in Total War is a cage match where two armies enter and one leaves victorious. The melee capabilities of each army (including wimpy archers and artillery) form the baseline of the power balance. If you have the advantage here, it's usually in your interest to end the fight ASAP, since it takes time for ranged units to dump their ammo or fast units to get into position. Chaos, Greenskins, Lizardmen all have a heavy emphasis on ranged armies.
Counters - A melee-centric army simply does not "punch up" very well. 20 Chosen vs 20 Spearmen, no matter if it's me vs. someone with 13000 hours in the game, the Chosen win every time. Sometimes maneuvers can help, flanking and keeping single-entities fighting back to back, that sort of thing. But really, melee is not countered by weaker melee, but by the other two types of superiority. Shoot them and ambush them, because just smashing armies together, by definition, will result in a loss.
Building an Army To be successful, you need to win but also to not lose, and you want a strategy for both. A reliable way to do this is to focus on one thing as your win condition and add in one or both of the other two to prevent yourself from being countered. The best doomstacks in the game all do this, even the single-unit spam ones. Ranged stacks either add in an effective melee line to counteract charges (Sisters of Avelorn w/ melee buffs, Weapons Teams w/ summons) or a positional component (Waywatchers fire behind them while moving, Shades stalk). Speed is more nebulous, but there are examples of melee ones (Grail Knights) or ranged fighters (Hawk Riders). Melee-focused armies can add in a ranged component (Stegadons) or are just faster than most infantry (Dragon Ogre Shaggoths). Even cheese tactics like those seen in Legend of Total War videos can be assigned one of these pillars. The one from today, for example, used a ranged army but relied on positional ambush tactics by hiding most of the army in trees throughout the battle.
An army for a particular faction should lean into its strengths and try to counter its weakness. Brettonia is known for its excellent cavalry, but you can still bring along an anvil for your hammer, in the form of their peasant and trebuchet units, to help give the enemy army something to fight while you pick them off with charges. For dwarves, almost every unit is excruciatingly slow, but they have great artillery and ranged infantry, and you can add in a few strong melee units that protect them.
In addition, this is why, especially at higher difficulties, ranged armies are 'meta'. You will never guarantee that you have melee superiority due to the difficulty level, and the AI is typically pretty bad at utilizing any form of speed superiority they have to counter you. I'd argue this is not necessarily a terrible thing, since a melee meta would result in less fun gameplay as it's the least tactically interesting of the three options, but I do agree that the balance skews a bit heavy in that direction at the moment.
